We take our hiring process very seriously because we know good security service cannot happen without good employees.
NWSS applicants are interviewed and tested on relevant concepts during the first phase of our application process. We do not solely depend on initial impressions when choosing security officer candidates. NWSS security officers receive thorough on-site training. A customized training checklist based on the site's post orders is utilized to document training. Supervisors and managers closely monitor the security officer's continuing performance at your property. Security officer CPR, AED, and First Aid training are also available depending on the specifications for each property
NWSS TESTING PROGRAM
Qualified applicants are tested for problem solving and written comprehension skills in the English language within a limited time frame.
Before a job offer is extended, ALL candidates are given a drug test to ensure they meet with company-wide drug policy standards. In addition, NWSS tests security officers for "reasonable suspicion" or "for cause."
During training, candidates are challenged and tested on relative concepts including access control, report writing, anti-terrorism, customer service, and sexual harassment.
Our security officers are continually tested at their sites to ensure they are current and up-to-date on facility procedures. Testing is documented and available to all clients.
Rates of pay to security officers are based upon performance, longevity, and successfully passing a written test to assure continued knowledge of company policies and security responsibilities.
We promote from within.
Our field supervisory staff is in the field to provide immediate response. Field supervisors ensure that all security officers have arrived on time and are at their site. All NWSS managers and supervisors are Washington State Certified Trainers.

Uniforms provide the first impression of a security officer to our clients, their tenants, and the general public. Our company maintains a high standard for uniforms and personal appearance. This standard is reinforced by our managers and supervisors to ensure consistency with policy and our company's professional image.
